Body & Lion Trimming

Body clipping can range from clipping away problem areas, to the removal of the entire coat. This service fulfils the goal of creating a flexible, comfortable and low-maintenance look for your cat which we may occasionally recommend.

Body clipping

Body clipping is performed with the aim of saving as much of your cat's coat as possible and we try to cover clipped areas with remaining hair whenever we can.

The Lion Trim

The lion trim removes all of the coat (the belly / sanitary and body coat from shoulders to base of tail). The extended lion trim also removes from the top of the neck to the base of the tail.

All trims will leave the hair on the legs (usually just below the elbow).

Regular grooming is preferable for optimal care of your cat and a lion trim is often too intrusive for many cats, especially if they dislike being held or touched.

If your cat goes outside throughout the year, we will never recommend a complete lion trim due to the risks of getting too cold in the winter. It is also important to be aware that your cat's coat may not return to it's previous condition following a complete clip; this can sometimes happen and we will discuss this with you in the salon.
